You've probably heard of juice cleanses, or maybe even tried one yourself. The premise is simple: replace all food and drink (with the exception of water and the chia seeds we provide you) with cold pressed juices made from combinations of fruits, vegetables, and probiotics. You do this for a set period of time (typically ranging from 3 to 10 days) in order to "reset" your body and give it a break from digesting solid foods. This can help eliminate toxins, improve digestion, boost energy levels, help with the functions of organs like the liver and kidneys, and more. In fact, many people feel so good after a juice cleanse that they can’t wait to do the next one! But let's not get ahead of ourselves; you're here because you want to learn what it's like to be on a juice cleanse—what you'll eat/drink each day, how you'll feel physically and mentally, etc. So, without further ado here is what you can expect on The Experienced 5 day juice cleanse diet:
Each day you will drink 6 nutrient dense raw, cold pressed juices in this order, spaced 2-3 hours apart:
Greens 101
Radiate
Greens 201
Majik
Activate
Greens 301
Day 1: Cravings and Fatigue
At the start of the juice cleanse you may experience cravings, likely for junk food, which can be intense. This is a body detox cleanse, so you may also experience fatigue and headaches. This is normal as your body flushes out toxins from your system during this process. The more you cleanse, the less likely it is that you will experience these effects. If you are just starting out, we recommend getting plenty of rest! Listen to your body and relax—try not to engage in any strenuous activity at this time. For optimal results, time your cleanse with this in mind!
Day 2: Mood Fluctuation
On the second day of your cleanse, you may experience mood swings and potentially even some increased fatigue. Again, this is a result of detoxing. When toxins are being released it has all kinds of effects on the body, so try not to take any feelings personally. In a relationship? It might be a good idea to give your partner a heads up.
Here our best piece of advice is to drink plenty of water, more than the daily recommended intake of 2 litres per day, and avoid working out while you're on this diet plan.
Day 3: Energy Boost
Day 3 of the 5 day juice cleanse diet is when many people begin to feel an energy boost. As your body becomes accustomed to functioning without unhealthy sugars and caffeine, you will begin feeling more energized due to the influx of nutrients.
Cold pressed juices are a healthy alternative to unhealthy caffeine sources as once your body has gone through detox mode you will have a significant energy increase that allows you to do more throughout the day. You'll feel more alert, focused and motivated!
Day 4: Better Sleep
By now, you are probably feeling more energetic during the day and less stressed. The combination of juicing and cleansing can help you sleep better.
Day 5: Feelin’ Good!
By Day 5 of your juice cleanse, you should be feeling pretty good. You've likely lost initial weight and are getting healthier. Your energy is up, your mood is better and you're feeling a little more positive about life.
This is the day when your body will start to return to normal functioning, as it has been detoxifying all week. The good news is, toxins have been filtered out of the bloodstream by your liver and kidneys, but there are still some toxins that your kidneys and fat cells are working to break down which can cause bloating, but this typically subsides within 24 hours.
Day five is also when many people experience renewed motivation for exercise due to increased energy levels from consuming so many fruits and vegetables during their juice cleanse diet (just make sure not overdo it!) Others have reported that their skin has less blemishes and became smoother thanks to drinking lots of water throughout the week and all of the micronutrients found in JOOS.
If you are brand new to juicing, we suggest starting with the best 3 day cleanse for beginners, our Newcomer cleanse. This way your body can get used to the change in diet, the detoxing, and the influx of new nutrients. The Experienced cleanse, while still good for beginners, contains more nutrient dense, and less sweet juices that might overwhelm a first timer. Any of our cleanses can be done for as short or as long as you want based on your experience and comfort level, but if you really want to get the most out of The Experienced cleanse, we recommend no shorter than 3 days.June 03, 2022
In the market for a cold pressed juice that is essentially overflowing with anti-inflammatory properties? Adore JOOS is made with ingredients that have been cold pressed to extract their maximum flavour, nutrition, and benefits. We use only the best ingredients—no artificial colours or flavours added.
All of our juices are made with a proprietary blend of ingredients that are amazing for the body! They're packed with vitamins A & C, antioxidants, and fiber to help boost your immune system. But, what really makes this juice stand out is camu camu. Have you heard of the camu camu berry before? Camu camu is native to the Amazon rainforest and on its own is very sour and tart in flavour. This little berry, much like the other ingredients found in our cold pressed juices, has an impressively long list of benefits, and it’s only one of the many superfoods found in our #1 best selling JOOS Adore.
Because of the tart nature of camu camu, it’s often found in powders, pills, and supplements. We’ve concocted a delicious blend of fruits and root vegetables that pair perfectly with the tartness of camu camu. Most people in Ontario never get to experience the plethora of benefits camu camu has to offer as it’s not as commonly known as a superfood.. and it’s not native to North America. Fortunately for you, you can experience all the nutritious goodness camu camu has to offer simply by drinking a delicious JOOS or partaking in the Newcomer juice cleanse.
So, what exactly is camu camu good for?
And when we say high, we mean HIGH. Nutritionally, camu camu is one of the most concentrated natural food sources of vitamin C. The fruit’s pulp provides about 2,400 to 3,000 grams (or 2,400,000 milligrams) per 3.5-ounce serving. For context, the recommended dietary intake (RDI) for vitamin C is 60 milligrams a day. The high dosage of vitamin C in camu camu classify this super fruit an antioxidant powerhouse which helps the body fight free radicals. A surplus of free radicals in the body over time can lead to conditions such as cancer and heart disease.
Camu camu also contains a number of crucial minerals that help the body's natural functions. It contains potassium, calcium, zinc, magnesium, manganese, and copper all of which are also antioxidants and have their own individual benefits. For example, zinc helps your immune system and metabolism function, and magnesium supports muscle and nerve function and stimulates energy production.
Polyphenols, similar to the other benefits, are high in antioxidant capabilities. This is why Adore is such an amazing anti-inflammatory and immune boosting juice. Studies have shown that polyphenols can help decrease inflammation, therefore reducing the risk of inflammatory diseases.
As this potent little berry is still quite new to the western world, there is still much to learn about all of the health benefits.
A study done in mice showed that camu camu increased energy, decreased liver deposition and improved the gut biome.
Another study (done on rats) found that camu camu helped with weight loss.
Lastly, a study done in 2018 conducted on humans, researchers found that consuming camu camu extract may help decrease blood pressure.
All of the cold pressed juices we offer are full of delicious benefits. On top of containing whole fruits and vegetables, you'll also be getting tons of antioxidants and vitamins. You’d be hard pressed finding one that isn't exploding with essential nutrients, but Adore has it all… Drinking Adore gives you all the perks you’d expect of a normal cold pressed juice but thanks to camu camu, the extra nutrients that it provides your body are unmatched. This is why it’s our #1 selling juice. If you haven’t given it a try yet, what are you waiting for? Hit that add to cart button!!May 27, 2022
Thinking about trying a juice cleanse? Studies have shown that partaking in a juice cleanse is an effective way to compliment the body's functions. In a study done by UCLA they found that juice cleanses aid in gut health by increasing beneficial gut bacteria, they promote weight loss, improve sleep, boost energy levels, and overall general wellbeing. The study also found that partaking in juice cleanses can also aid in improving one’s heart health by decreasing lipid per-oxidation, while increasing nitric oxide. If you want to learn more about juice cleanse benefits, then you’ll want to give this post a read.
Although there are numerous positive health benefits associated with juice cleanses, they also come with a few challenges that juicing beginners should be mindful of. The first few days of a juice cleanse are often the hardest as your body transitions into a state of detoxification. As your body receives an influx of micronutrients and begins to flush out toxins, some people experience headaches, feel sluggish, or have some hunger pangs. Though they may be difficult, juice cleanses remain popular due to the significant benefits they offer as the benefits far outweigh the challenges.
The Newcomer JOOS cleanse is specifically designed for individuals who want to get better acquainted with juice cleansing, and for experienced cleansers looking for a more fruit-forward cleanse experience. If you’re looking for the best juice cleanse for beginners, you have to try The Newcomer Cleanse.
For beginner and experienced juice cleanse enthusiasts alike, to get the most out of a cleanse we typically recommend committing to a 3-day, 4-day, or 5-day cleanse. However, the great thing about a JOOS cleanse is that the juice cleanse timeline is up to you! Not ready to commit to a 3-days juice cleanse yet? No problem, try a 1-day or 2-day JOOS cleanse to start.
No matter the duration you choose, each day you’re on The Newcomer cleanse you’ll drink the same six raw, cold pressed juices. The order you drink the JOOS in was carefully selected to give your body the best juicing experience and is as follows:
Though they may be difficult, the benefits you receive from doing a juice cleanse make them worthwhile. For more juice cleanse information for beginners, be sure to check out our blog here, where we post new content weekly for our juicing community.

Today we’re going to be talking all things ginger and about our ginger juice benefits. This little super root has a plethora of nutrients that you don’t want to be missing out on and lucky for you we have just the juice to do it!
Pure ginger is among one of the healthiest spices on the planet, and it can be consumed as a powder, oil, fresh, fried, or in our case, a delicious cold pressed juice. Transform is composed purely of pineapple and ginger – this juice packs a healthy punch, with the sweetest touch! Pineapple and ginger are both loaded with vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and antioxidants and are known to support your immune system, suppress inflammation, improve digestion, and speed up recovery from exercise. While pineapple has plenty of its own benefits, we’re going to focus on ginger benefits and discuss why is ginger good for you.
Health Benefits of Ginger
Pure ginger contains gingerol which has been used to reduce nausea, aids digestion, and helps fight the flu and the common cold! It is also loaded with antioxidants that help prevent any stress or damage done to your body’s DNA.
More specifically, studies have been done that shows how pure ginger can help with osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis causes degeneration of the joints in the body and ginger was shown to help relieve the pain and stiffness this causes.
Delayed emptying of the stomach is a common case of indigestion and ginger has been shown to speed up this process.
Ginger has been proven to be super effective at pain relief when taken at the beginning of a menstrual cycle, on similar levels to acetaminophen and ibuprofen.
This one is a little more commonly known, with the existence of ginger Gravol, but did you know that it especially helps quell nausea during pregnancy? It’s also known to help motion sickness and even nausea caused by chemotherapy.
If ginger is so good for you, why do we not consume it more? It is one of the most potent tasting spices/roots out there and can be hard to integrate into your daily diet as it tends to overpower its dishes. Lucky for you we happen to have a delicious solution in the form of raw, cold pressed juice! Transform has the least ingredients of any of our juices but is among those with the highest number of benefits. You can use Transform as a healthy alternative to replace your sport drinks or potentially even morning coffee if you’re feeling up for the challenge, the positive effects it will have on your body will be well worth it, we assure you.

Don’t freak out, but what if we told you that Majik juice you’re drinking contains algae that was found in ponds, lakes, and alkaline waterways? Blue-green-algae, more commonly known as blue spirulina is what gives our Majik juice its amazing (and natural) blue colour. Not only does it look cool, but it has the added bonus of having an insane amount of nutrients, and therefore the blue spirulina benefits are out of this world, some might even say Majikal.
A single tablespoon of dried blue spirulina powder contains:
Blue spirulina when compared gram for gram, is said to be the single most nutritious food on the planet! If that doesn’t convince you of its Majik then nothing will.
So now that we are all on the same page with how great blue spirulina is let’s take a look at the benefits.
Spirulina can bind with heavy metals and toxins in the body and help remove them which is what helps make Majik such a great body detox juice.
Blue spirulina is a great source of protein for everyone, but especially vegans and vegetarians as plant-based protein can be harder to come across.
If you’re in the market for a natural afternoon energy boost (who isn’t) then you should be drinking Majik juice. Blue spirulina is rich in b vitamins that have been known as a natural healthy alternative to boost energy levels. The antioxidants in blue spirulina help aid in muscle fatigue because it decreases exercise induced oxidation, this also helps with muscle gain!
Blue spirulina contains chlorophyll which promotes healthy bacteria in the gut and regulates the digestive system. Our Majik juice is especially good for gut health because alongside the spirulina, it also contains probiotics which help maintain good gut health.
Experts say that good gut health = good skin health! “A healthy gut microbiome is associated with improved skin health, including regulation of skin inflammation,” says Dr. Marie Hayag, a certified dermatologist. That’s not the only skin benefit of drinking Majik juice though, studies suggest that drinking blue spirulina may help increase collagen production. Collagen helps firm and tighten the skin resulting in a younger looking appearance!
Blue spirulina boost your immune system because it increases the production of cytokines which help fight infection.
Blue spirulina is not the only ingredient that makes Majik so magical, but it is one of the most powerful. Majik also contains pineapple, coconut milk and water, lime, and probiotics. All of which have their own amazing nutrients and benefits.
Not only will Majik make you feel good, but it tastes good too. Majik’s tropical flavour will have you feeling as though you're laying on a sunny beach under a palm tree, drinking out of a coconut.

Have you heard of the gut-brain axis? The microbiome? Have your heard how changing your gut can change your life? It might sound like a bold statement, but it’s true! More research is coming out, that having a healthy gut can change your life in more ways you might think.
The gut-brain axis is the bidirectional highway between the “gut brain” known as the enteric nervous system and the “head brain”, the central nervous system where your brain speaks to your gut and your gut speaks to your brain.
The microbiome encompasses your gut bacteria, and your gut bacteria has a direct influence on the health of your gut-brain axis which can affect things like mood, anxiety, and motivation. When your microbiome is out of whack, you’ll feel it and when your microbiome is in balance, there’s a better conversation happening between your gut and your brain!
How to Tell if you have an Out of Whack Gut.
Did you say yes to one or more of the above? If you did, your gut bacteria might be out of balance, and you might be wondering what’s the best way to fix it? Well, the answer is quite simple and by changing your gut you can change your life. Follow these steps to re-balance your microbiome, aka your gut bacteria and drastically improve your gut health, the function of your gut-brain axis and your life! Try these for the next 30 days and let me know how it goes! I want to know how you feel afterwards!

Our cold pressed juice Activate is a delicious probiotic drink that acts as a body detox juice and tastes like charcoal lemonade! The special ingredient in this juice that makes it one of our strongest body detox juices is the activated charcoal.
To be able to understand why activated charcoal is so beneficial, let’s first discuss what is activated charcoal?
Activated charcoal is charcoal that has undergone treatment to become more porous. The charcoal is treated with oxygen at very high temperatures, this changes the internal structure, increases the surface area, and reduces the size of its pores. The resulting black powder is what we add to our Activate juice.
How does activated charcoal work? Get ready for some science because it is not as easy as one might think! When ingested, activated charcoal does not get absorbed or altered by your gut, therefore it reaches your gut in its unchanged form. The oxygen process that we described previously, makes the charcoal incredibly porous and gives the activated charcoal a negative electrical charge. This attracts molecules such as toxins and gases because they are positively charged. When these positively charged molecules pass through the activated charcoal, they bind to it, this process is called absorption. So what makes activated charcoal so good at body detoxing? The toxins, gases, and chemicals get trapped in your gut instead of being processed and absorbed by your body! They are then removed by the body through your feces and urine.
So how does this tie into cold pressed juice? Our Activate juice is filled with activated charcoal, as well as apple, lemon, and probiotics. While there are many benefits to these other ingredients as well, majority of the detoxing is done through the added activated charcoal.
Okay now we know that it’s detoxifying, but what are the other benefits of activated charcoal? One of the many benefits is that activated charcoal may promote kidney function! It does so by giving your kidneys a break. The toxins trapped in the charcoal reduces the number of waste products your kidneys have to filter. It also may reduce cholesterol levels, through a similar process.
There are many people that use charcoal for other more “household” and “cosmetic” purposes. While these uses aren’t rooted in science, many people swear by them. Here are some examples of these benefits:
While we’d like to be able to claim activated charcoal undeniably has all of these benefits, we don’t want to spread any misinformation not backed by science. However, if you’d like to host your own experiment by drinking our Activate cold pressed juice, please get back to us and let us know if it whitened your teeth!
While it may not keep you from a deathly hangover, Activate juice is still a delicious, nutrient filled body detox juice that will benefit and cleanse your body.

You may have noticed that we have not one, not two, but three different green juices on our site. All of which are packed with nutrients and have tons of health benefits. They vary slightly in their ingredients and therefore their health benefits, but they are all a delicious probiotic drink. All our green juices are great options if you’re in the market for a digestive cleanse juice that tastes great and makes you feel even better. So, what exactly is the difference? Let’s break it down.
Greens 101: this is our “beginner” green juice if you will. Greens 101 is sweeter than the other green juices as it contains more fruit and therefore more sugar. The ingredients of Greens 101 are: Granny Smith Apple, Cucumber, Parsley, Spinach, Pineapple, and Probiotics. Greens 101 is the perfect green juice if you’re just getting into cold pressed juice and body detox juice cleanses!
Greens 201: okay so you think you’re ready for the next level up do you? You’ve mastered Greens 101 and are ready for a little more punch? While Greens 101 and 201 have some similarities, greens 201 is full of kale and moringa leaves and is slightly less sweet. Moringa leaves have 7x more vitamin C than oranges and 15x more potassium than bananas. Greens 201 is a probiotic drink and nutritional powerhouse juice, that is packed with green goodness!
Greens 301: so you’re ready for the final boss of pressed green juice? Greens 301 is our most advanced and nutrient loaded green juice. With only 4g of sugar, it presents as slightly more bitter than our 201 but is still delicious.
“Surprisingly tasty and easy to drink for only 4g of sugar!” – Jenn, March 17, 2021
Greens 301 is packed with spinach and collards which are nutritious powerhouses for your body. Both Spinach and Collards are among the most nutrient dense foods on the planet - loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals! Pair that with Ginger and Lemon for a deliciously powerful anti-inflammatory combo. It’s a low calorie juice with HIGH nutritious value!March 21, 2022
Radiate! Just like our other juices, Radiate is filled with a surplus of delicious ingredients and healthy benefits. Radiate is a cold pressed turmeric juice that boosts your immune system due to all the natural vitamins and nutrients found within the fruits and vegetables we use to make it.
Let’s breakdown each ingredient and their benefits.
What are the health benefits of ginger?
There are many proven health benefits of ginger. This little root is more powerful than one might think. Pure ginger is a difficult food to add to your diet because of its potent flavour, but ginger juice is delicious. Here are some of the different ginger root uses:
Fights germs. The chemical makeup of pure ginger helps your body fight off germs and bacteria like E.coli.
Good for mouth health. The active compound in ginger called gingerols help keep oral bacteria from growing.
Reduces swelling. Ginger is a powerful anti-inflammatory. Often used for treating aches and pains, ginger can be used topically on swollen areas or ingested.
Radiate is a cold pressed turmeric juice that does wonders for the immune system. Turmeric is a relative to pure ginger, and boasts amazing health benefits.
May help depression. Though it is still being studied, scientists are hopeful about their findings that curcumin, found in turmeric, has loads of potential to help ease feelings of depression.
Fights viral infections. Curcumin may help fight off viruses such as herpes and the flu!
Eases muscle and joint pain. Turmeric, like ginger, is an anti-inflammatory and is commonly used to help relieve muscle and joint aches.
What are the health benefits of carrots? While the most commonly known health benefit of carrots is they’re good for your eyes, there are many more.
Carrots may lower your risk for cancer. They are packed with antioxidants and carotenoids which are known for helping protect against several kinds of cancer.
They’re good for the heart. The antioxidants and potassium found in carrots are also super beneficial towards your heart health. Potassium helps keep your blood pressure stable and the high amounts of fiber in carrots lessens your chance of heart disease (and also helps with constipation.)
Good for the immune system. When we think of vitamin C we tend to think of fruits like oranges (which are also in Radiate) but carrots have a high vitamin C content as well, which boosts your immune system.
What are the health benefits of apples?
Maybe an apple a day does keep the doctor away… Studies show that eating apples regularly is associated with an over 50% lower risk of stroke!
May lower blood pressure. Apples are full of fiber which has been shown to be decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease.
Apples aid in digestion. It’s practically common knowledge that fibre helps with constipation and aids digestion, but did you know apples contain two different types of fibre? Both of which are important for digestion.
Boost your immune system. That’s right, apples ALSO boost your immune system. Apples contain high amounts of vitamin C, and the soluble fiber in apples act as anti-inflammatories.
What are the health benefits of oranges?
Oranges are notorious for their high amounts of vitamin C that help boost your immune system and heart health, but that’s not all these little guys do.
Provides gut protective fiber. One orange supplies about 12% of your daily fiber intake. This fiber supports your digestive system and contributes to a healthy sleep cycle.
Full of antioxidants. The flavonoid antioxidants in oranges are an anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antimicrobial powerhouse. These help your body fight off bugs.
What are the health benefits of lemon?Everyone thinks lemon water is so healthy, but does anyone actually know why? We do, among many other benefits, lemons support heart and digestive health, and help maintain weight control.
High in vitamin C. One lemon provides 50% of your daily vitamin C intake, but it’s kind of difficult to eat one whole lemon… unless you drink it in a delicious juice.
Helps absorb iron. While lemons themselves do contain some iron, Lemons help prevent iron deficiency anemia because they improve the absorption of iron from other plant foods.
Radiate is one of our many probiotic drinks. Probiotics are known for their link to good gut health but studies show that they are also linked to improving ones mental health.
Our cold pressed juice range is diverse and we have a juice and juice cleanse for all your health and wellness needs.
